Privacy Policy

What the app stores

All of it is on your Mac, in a data folder you pick in Settings. Your tracked tickers and their groups and tags, price alerts, reminders, game plans and fills, which 13F filers and politicians you follow, your rule sets, your journal notes and goals, and the cached copies of the market data the app has fetched. These are plain files you can open, back up, move, or delete yourself, and deleting the app does not delete them.

Nothing in that folder is uploaded to Agentic Quarks. We do not have a copy of your watchlist, your positions, your fills, or your notes, and there is no mechanism in the app for us to ask for one.

Connections the app makes from your device

Superposition fetches data itself, from your Mac, over your own internet connection. Those services see your requests and your IP address the same way they would if you visited them in a browser. Their handling of that is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. The app contacts:

• Yahoo Finance, for quotes and price bars, including the live quote stream when you leave it switched on.
• SEC EDGAR, for fundamentals, Form 4 insider filings, 13F information tables, 8-K earnings filings, and company profiles.
• House Clerk and Senate disclosure sites, for the congressional trade disclosures shown on the Politicians screen.
• The Nasdaq earnings calendar, for upcoming earnings dates and estimates.
• CBOE, for the delayed option quotes used to compute an implied move around an earnings print.
• TradingView, only when you switch a chart to the TradingView view. That loads TradingView's own embedded widget, which runs their code in a web view and is subject to their terms and privacy policy.
• X, only when you choose to open the X panel for a ticker. That loads X's own embedded timeline, which runs their code in a web view and is subject to their terms and privacy policy.

None of these requests go through an Agentic Quarks server, and none of them carry an identifier we issued.

The optional Robinhood connection

Connecting a brokerage account is optional and off unless you set it up. If you do connect Robinhood, you sign in through Robinhood's own login and the resulting authorization is stored in your Mac's Keychain, scoped to that device. It is never printed, never written into the app's data files, and never sent to us.

The connection uses read-only calls: accounts, portfolio, equity and option positions, and quotes. There is no order path. The app cannot place, preview, modify, or cancel an order, and cannot edit your Robinhood watchlists. Your position data goes from Robinhood to your Mac and stops there. We never see it. Disconnecting clears the stored authorization from your Keychain; you can also revoke access from your Robinhood account settings.

Feedback

Feedback is the one thing the app sends anywhere, and only when you fill in the sheet and press send. Nothing is sent that was not shown to you on that screen first.

A submission includes:

• the category you pick: bug, feature, or data issue
• the title and the text you write
• the app version
• your macOS version
• which data source the app is reading
• the last refresh times the app already displays
• your email address, only if you choose to enter one

It becomes an issue in a private GitHub issue tracker, so it can be triaged and fixed. GitHub processes it under their own privacy policy. If you provide an email address, it is used to reply to you about that feedback and nothing else; no mailing list, no marketing.

Tips are separate. When they are available, a tip is an Apple in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple, and it may add a supporter label to the issue. Apple handles the payment; we never receive your card details or your billing address. A tip buys the developer a coffee and moves your request up the triage order. It does not buy an outcome.

No analytics, no tracking, no accounts

There is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, no crash reporter phoning home, and no advertising or tracking identifier of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell or share data with data brokers, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing collected. In the personal build there is no account and no sign-up: you never give us an email address to use the app. If a future version adds server-backed features, they will be described here before they ship, and account deletion will be in the app.

Children

Superposition is a research tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through feedback, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it, and a material change will be called out in the app's release notes. The current version always lives at this address.
